Nathan's Auctions holds periodic sales of antiques and decorative items, and welcomes entire estates or individual items from both private parties and from members of the antiques trade. Payment for items sold at auction will be made within 7 - 10 days.

Auctions are typically conducted at Cominichi's @ Mom's, 421 East Cota Street, in downtown Santa Barbara. For details of upcoming auctions go to www.cominichis.com. Auctions of entire estates are held, if possible, on site.

In March 2004 , Nathan's Auctions was privileged to auction a large number of items from the estate of the late Harry Cohn.

Richard Nathan was formerly an auctioneer and appraiser with Bonham's of Knightsbridge, with whom he specialized in antique furniture and oriental carpets. He has also worked for J.R. Lawsons of Sydney, Australia's oldest firm of auctioneers. A resident of Santa Barbara since August, 2001, he has also conducted auctions on behalf of Hisha of Japan. As an antiques dealer he is associated with both the Summerland Antique Collective and Cominichi's Antique Market.
